UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE COMPUTER SCIENCE RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM presents "Security Architecture for Distributed Social Networks" Jonathan Anderson (Cambridge Unviersity, UK) 24 February 2010 (Wednesday) Lecture Theatre E351 Hatfield, College Lane Campus 3 - 4 pm Everyone is Welcome to Attend Refreshments will be available Abstract: Current practice in social networks requires users to give all of their personal information to a centralized provider, one which may have little competence in security and little incentive to change. Distributing responsibility for information security to client software solves some problems, but others remain. This talk will describe recent work, current research and future aspirations for privacy-enabling social networking technology. The Speaker: Jonathan Anderson is a PhD student in the Security Group at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory. His research focuses on security architectures for the controlled disclosure of user information, especially in the contexts of social networks and operating systems. --------------------------------------------------- Hertfordshire Computer Science Research Colloquium http://homepages.feis.herts.ac.uk/~nehaniv/colloq
