Col. Chris McClernon will discuss his role as a Behavioral Scientist and researcher in the United States Air Force (USAF). He will also discuss the research program he created and now manages in London. His program called Research in Europe on Autonomy, Cognitive Sciences, and Human Factors Engineering, or "REACH", seeks revolutionary basic science, relevant to the USAF, related to humans and their interactions with other humans and technology. Finally, Lt.Col. McClernon will discuss his own personal research interests in stress and stress training, including studies exploring the methodical approach to preparing military members for stressful situations. About the Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel Christopher K. McClernon is a Behavioral Scientist serving as International Program Officer, Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), European Office of Aerospace Research & Development (EOARD). He has 20 years of Human Factors Engineering experience and received his PhD from the Naval Postgraduate School. His assignments include the USAF Operational Test & Evaluation Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, and USAF Academy faculty.
