Abstract:


As researchers find out more and more about processes in living cells,
modelling and simulation techniques are being used to get new insights 
into  these complex processes. The processes consist of reactions in 
which molecules are produced or rebuilt. Successive reactions build 
reaction pathways. These biochemical pathways can be modelled in 
mathematical equations which are solved by computers. This process is 
called simulation. I will present the results of my PhD thesis that
support the modelling process by creating a dynamic layout for a list 
of reactions and the analysis of simulation results of biochemical 
pathways by visualizing these results in  a clearer way.
